Leadership transition

Take Control of Your First 90 Days

A new leadership role changes more than your title.

Step back, understand the real mandate, establish your priorities and adapt how you operate — while the work continues around you.

Part coaching. Part advisory. Always grounded in real decisions.

Phase 1

Phase 1 — Understand the Real Mandate

The job description tells only part of the story.

  • We clarify the expectations, existing dynamics, constraints and urgent decisions surrounding the role.
  • We also identify what may not have been said explicitly but will influence your ability to succeed.
  • The objective: understand what this role really requires from you now.
Phase 2

Phase 2 — Reset Your Priorities

What made you successful in your previous role may not be what this one requires. We examine your priorities, delegation, decision-making and boundaries. We identify what you should continue doing, what now needs to be delegated, and what should stop altogether. The objective: align your time and attention with the responsibilities of the new role.

Free conversation

30 minutes · No commitment

We clarify the transition you are facing, what is currently at stake and whether working together would be useful.

01

Discovery session

We map the situation: your mandate, constraints, competing priorities, decisions ahead and the standards you do not want to trade away.

02

Designing what comes next

We turn that reading into direction: what matters now, what needs to change, what you stop doing and what the next phase should look like.

03

Building momentum

Most personalised journeys unfold over approximately 5 to 10 sessions when the transition extends over several months. Each session is decided separately, according to the situation and what remains useful to work on.

Phase 3

Phase 3 — Turn Priorities into Action

A leadership transition happens while the work continues. Teams are waiting. Decisions accumulate. Your previous responsibilities may still require attention. We turn your priorities into concrete decisions, conversations and actions, then adjust as reality provides feedback. Where relevant, AI can also be used as a thinking partner to challenge assumptions, prepare decisions and accelerate learning. The objective: create momentum without losing sight of what matters.

A grounded view of the situation

Move beyond the loudest signal and understand what the role, organisation and moment actually require from you.

Decisions made sooner

Bring forward the decisions that have been consuming attention — people, scope, priorities, boundaries or your own next move.

An operating model for the role you have now

Realign your calendar, attention, delegation and ways of working around your current mandate rather than your previous one.

A thinking partner with no agenda

Independent, confidential and direct. Someone outside the organisation's politics who can challenge your thinking without needing a particular outcome.

Grounded in reality

Leadership Transitions Happen in Real Time

There is rarely a clean break between one role and the next.

You may be learning a new organization while closing responsibilities from the previous one. You are expected to listen, decide, build relationships and deliver — often at the same time.

This work is therefore not theoretical. Aligned in Motion provides a structured space to step back from the pace of execution, make better decisions and adjust as the situation evolves.

The first 90 days are not about doing everything. They are about understanding what matters first.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does leadership transition coaching cost?

The first 30-minute conversation is complimentary. The Discovery Session is €290 excluding VAT, then each subsequent session is €390 excluding VAT. Most personalised journeys unfold over approximately 5 to 10 sessions, but there is no commitment to a fixed number of sessions: each step is decided separately.

How long does a leadership transition take?

Most leadership transitions stabilise over two to three quarters. Some leaders need only a few sessions to make a decision or adjust their priorities; others choose to continue the work over several months. The pace and duration adapt to the reality of the transition.

Is this executive coaching or advisory?

Both. The work creates space for you to think, but it does not stop at reflection. We can work directly on your mandate, organisation, priorities, decisions and trade-offs.

Is the work confidential, including when my employer pays?

Yes. The content of the sessions is confidential. Where an organisation funds the work, any reporting or information-sharing arrangements should be explicitly agreed in advance.

Which languages are available?

Sessions can be conducted in English or French. Written materials can also be provided in English, French or German.
